I need a new game for the XBox - suggestions?

I’ll toss one more vote for Alpha Protocol - it’s one of the rare games I’ve played through twice in a row without much pause in between, and the second playthrough was as fun as the first one. Didn’t have much issues with it except running out of AA missiles in one spot when they glitched through the helicopter, which forced me to shoot the darn thing down with my pistol, but I played it on PC so YMMV.

I boguht Alpha Protocol, for like $15, and I also bought Rainbow 6 Vegas 2 ($10) so the SO and I could play it together, as well as Perfect Dark: Zero ($2). So that’s like $30 for three games.

Pretty good deals!

As to your suggestions:

I adore Mass Effect 1 & 2 and Assassin’s Creed 1 & 2 and am anxiously awaiting the third for both. I may get the Revelations but I want to wait and watch for reviews.
I don’t like Morrowind, I admit. First of all, I really am mostly a console player, and we only own it for the PC (I didn’t think it even came on the Xbox?) Plus the atmosphere was too dark and gloomy. It might have still been OK if it had been on the console.
I’ve just about outgrown FF style RPGs. I liked them for years and years but both 12 and 14 left me wanting more.
Stubbs the Zombie sounds really fun, I may try that sometime.
I have a driving game, it might even be Forza. Fun, but not for too long.

The SO will probably eventually get Dungeon Siege III - I liked the first one OK, never played the second.

Ok. Red Dead Redemption. I have to admit, I didn’t give it too much of a chance yet, and may try it again. It looks cool, and slick, and the main character’s pretty cool, but…Western. Eh.

Morrowind was an original Xbox game (not 360), it worked fine on the console, but was buggy as hell - save your game often or lose a lot when it decides to freeze.

Fable III is awful :frowning: - get Fable II, it is much better and cheaper.

I have Fable 2. I liked it, mostly, but the ending was stupid and annoying, and I didn’t particularly like how it kept getting creepier and creepier.

Do give RDR another chance - by the end I actually personally cared what happened to John Marston.
