travelocity.com always served my needs, even with the criteria you mentioned.
Thanks, Q, but I need someone to help me through,
“Well, he has to fly out of GEG after 2 pm Monday but he could fly into BIL or BOZ or MIL or GDV or LEW and I could pick him up but he positively has to out of GDV or MIL or BIL by 17:00 Tuesday.”
Your local yellow pages should have many final travel agents in your area, then. Although not many will be available on a Sunday night. So if you must book it by tonight, you may be stuck. You might try googling “24 hour travel agent” and see what you get.
All the people in my yellow pages are saying,“Call me during workin hours.” And I’m on hold with the airlines.
Merde.
whistlepig, if you can wait until I get to the office tomorrow AM, I can fix you up with the woman who’s been getting me around for over a decade now. She’s great, and in this day she doesn’t need to be anywhere near where you are.
Here’s the best I can do:
That doesn’t really look like a difficult search that you’re proposing, though – have you tried searching out the different possible itineraries on different travel sites? (I tried doing the above on ITA Software and it seemed to work okay – I couldn’t say “to any of these airports,” but I could name one as the most central airport and give a radius.
OK, thank you, but
I tried all the local travel agncies and they have gone home for the night.
I need to book a flight NOW and was hoping to find an agency.
Message over, flight booked

Just for future reference, the online travel services are actually pretty good at dealing with flexible itenaries, at least in my experience. Choosing from multiple airports is certainly no problem. I regulary click on the “or any airport within 100 miles” button when I use Orbitz, because of one time it found me a wonderfully cheap flight that just happened to fly out of Philadelphia but back in to JFK. (Now if JetBlue would start flying out of Newark I’d be all set. But I digress.)
Gah. Itineraries. I speak English, really.
Just go to the various airline websites. You may also call them and ask them about it.
It’s really easy and they are open pratically 24/7. Airline agents tend to not work on Sundays.
