Here’s hopefully a quickie: I’ve got a single Tagged Image File Format file that consists of twelve individual photographs. Is there any way with standard Microsoft software (Imaging or Photo Editor) to separate this thing into twelve individual files (of any format, although I’d prefer JPEG)? Or is there a nice handy piece of freeware that could do this job? I’ve been tearing my hair out trying to figure out how to do what I would thought would be a very simple and common task…
Yep, Imaging will do it for ya. You can delete or insert pages.
I’m not familiar with the MS products, but any editing program should have a tool that lets you select part of an image. Just copy that selection to the clipboard, open a new document and paste it in. Programs like Photoshop will automatically size a new document window to accomodate what’s in the clipboard.
Hope this helps.
Forgot to add: Repeat as necessary until you have all the sub-images saved into new files.

Trust me, I’m not entirely incompetent… now it’s time to go… where bed… and TV is… and the stuff.
You can download a trial version of Paint Shop Pro. It will do your task with ease.
I know a little secret to making the 30 day trial seem like 300 days, or 3000 days, but that may not be kosher to tell how in this forum.
