Last weekend was playing an emulator with a sim city rom at work. Now I can’t find a single one that hasn’t had the link taken down. I am totaly having withdrawl symptoms. Foaming at the mouth, breathlessness, dizzyness.
PLEASE!!! SOMEONE HELP ME FIND THE PURPOSE TO MY LIFE!!!
I need a SuperNintendo emulator and a corresponding Sim city Rom. If I could have a link, please?
I have this really crappy firewall here at work and for some reason it wont let me play online. AND I"M PULLING MY HAIR OUT IN PURE BOREDOM!!! Surely you don’t want me to go home to my brand spankin’ new husband with NO HAIR!!!
It would be divorce for sure Then I owuld have to spend the whole night o our computer at home, playing sim city 2000.
But ANY sim would do right now!!!
SC3K fucking blows. Why don’t you just go out and buy a copy f SimCity 2000? I’m sure it’s real cheap these days. Beats the pants off 3000 any day, and is much more involved than the original.
Didn’t notice much of a difference! Ye gads! There’s lots of cool features in SC2K that they took away in 3K to make it “simple.” Of course, since I haven’t played either in a while, I don’t remember which ones. It ran PAINFULLY slow on my machine (pretty fast for the day). Also, all the newfangled animation and sound effects took away from the experience, this is a sim game, folks, not Quake XIV.
I never had SC2K (but I did play it for a while at a friend’s house. Unfortunately, it was not for a very long time, and I never got really used to the game, so I can’t give it a full review.) But I do own Simcity 3000 and the original SimCity (for DOS).
The original Simcity is good because it’s so simple, yet many complex situations can come out of it. It was lacking a lot of things, but those things were usually just responsibilities you wouldn’t want to deal with anyway, like the water system or building schools.
I like Simcity 3000 a bit better. If nothing else, just for the fact that you can see all the people walking around. And you can see the airplanes take off (yeah, I know, you can do that in regular Simcity, but it’s not nearly as interesting.) If you zoom in to the highest level, it’s so fun to see people driving/walking around. And building a city and making it work is still as fun as it was in the original Simcity.
I also have (okay, HAD…the disks are all corrupt/lost now) SimAnt for DOS. That was an awesome game.
