I need some "Break Up" songs

Sleeping isn’t working, watching movies isn’t working, lying on my couch and thinking isn’t working, laying on the floor isn’t working, maybe some good songs will.

Can anyone give me some good break up songs, preferably some about the guy getting over the girl? Maybe some about the man getting his heartbroken and being a little pissed at the girl, those might help.

If The Phone Doesn’t Ring, It’s Me - Jimmy Buffett

Ben Folds Five - Song for the Dumped

I Used to Love Her But I Had to Kill Her - Guns N Roses

When You’re Alone, Springsteen.

“Alison”, by Elvis Costello.

Pretty mean, but dead on.

Dixie Chicken Garth Brooks has a decent version but it’s been recorded by many.

You never even called me by my name David Allen Coe

Drinking my Baby Good Bye Charlie Daniels

One More Minute by Weird Al Yankovich

Next Time You See Her - **Eric Clapton
**
Under My Thumb - The Rolling Stones

“Gone, Gone, Gone” by Bad Company.

“I’m Looking Through You” by The Beatles.

Kinks, Sunny afternoon
My girlfriend’s run off with my car,
And gone back to her ma and pa, Telling tales of drunkenness and cruelty.

2,000 Miles, Erasure (I need to be at least t=2,000 miles away from you).

Unbelievable, by EMF

Paradise by the Dashboard Lights, Meatloaf

50 ways to leave your lover, Paul Simon

I Hate Everything About You, Ugly Kid Joe

You Oughta Know, Alanis Morisette (Yeah, it’s the girl who’s pissed, but MAN is she pissed. It’s gotta be cathartic, no?)

American Woman, The Guess Who

Excitable Boy, Warren Zevon (He kills his date, does that count?)

Brand New Lover, Dead or Alive

Through With You, Maroon 5

And yeah…Weird Al’s “One More Minute” is an all time favorite, a TRUE classic. I guarantee it will make you feel better instantly.

I’m sure I know of more, but I have to think about it a few minutes.

“Romeo and Juliet” by Dire Straits

Theres this one Bob Dylan song that I remember hearing a while back, something about switching shoes and hating the girl. Can anyone name that song?

Is this what you’re thinking of?

“Thank God and Greyhound She’s Gone” Roy Clark

“Lost Cause”, Beck. Actually the whole CD (Sea Change has a break-up feel.

“She hates me” by Puddle of Mudd

Its kind of catchy in an earworm sort of way.

I would recommend “Don’t Leave Me Now” by Pink Floyd, but it sort of… ends badly.
