I need some help in Miami

I was on a trip over New Year’s Eve, and our tour had three bags (containing humanitarian supplies) held up in customs. The bags have been released to the airline – in Miami airport. However, the bags need to be returned to DC.

I need someone to go pick up the bags and send them back to their owners in DC. We can negotiate on whether the shipping costs justify sending the contents as well. Naturally, costs will be reimbursed.

I’d prefer someone who I’ve spoken with on the board, if not in person; otherwise, we’ll have to get someone to vouch for me.

My address is in my profile.

Why won’t the airline send them to you? I thought that getting both you and your bags to the same destination was part of their agreement.

The bags’ destination was the Caribbean, and the Caribbean sent the bags back to Miami. Plus, the airline is a charter that doesn’t fly to DC.

Ah, I see now. I thought they’d gotten held up on the way back.

Unfortunately, the only people I still know down in SoFla are in Key Largo and Palm Beach, but I hope somebody who can help turns up.
