Hey, if I’m paying USD$6,000 for a 10 day trip to Europe, I’d expect to be allowed to keep something from either the Louvre or the Vatican’s Art Collection- whichever would like nicest in my study.
Seriously though, if you organised it with your friend, you could have a longer holiday in Europe for about USD$6,000 for the pair of you, and probably learn more about yourselves than you would on this GYL thingy.

Very, very true. I’ve done, and recommend it. Been to Eastern Europe, and beyond. Cheap as hell if you don’t let yourself get taken. Great experience. I’ve sat naked, in a hot spring, with a bunch of Russians in the country outside of Petropavlovsk-kamcatchka. Nicer, more wonderful people you’ll never meet.
