Congrats! And now, let me get this straight, if we want to play a game of SDMB ‘Doctor,’ are you the guy to call? :wink:

This one doesn’t quite make me a doctor yet–it just means that I’ve learned enough in the first two years of med school (the sit-on-your-ass-with-a-textbook years) to go on to the other two years (the clinical years) and actually start learning something.

Still, it’s a big deal, especially for me. This is one of the first genuine victories I’ve had in med school.

In other news, I got my actual score, and I beat the average! Just by one point, but that is a really good thing. Since I want to do a double residency in the two least competitive specialties (family practice and psychiatry), all I really needed was to pass. (For more competitive specialties you want to beat the average; surgeons and the like want to beat it by a standard deviation.)
