My wife gets these horribly. She’s in great athletic shape especially when you consider she’s close to pushing 60. But every other night she get’s terrible leg cramps. And she’s tried everything too.
Except soap. Doll refuses because it’s an old wives tale. I say, what can it hurt? Soap is cheap.
Have any of you tried the soap under the sheets trick?
Okay, I don’t get these normally. But this morning I woke up in agony. I see that the thread is a few days old but today is the first day I noticed it. Spooky. I attribute it to fatigue from wading the river for the first time in awhile but it wasn’t that hard. Still wobbly.
Soap under the sheets? I’ve never heard of that.
It’s an old wives remedy, but some people swear by it.
I figure it’s simple/cheap enough to try. Snopes is undetermined about it.
Statins made mine go from a once- or twice-a-month misery to a nightly agonyfest which limited me to about 4 hours sleep per night. Quit taking them, and about two weeks later, no more cramps. (Well, to be honest, I got a calf cramp once and walking around fixed it.)
Fuck statins and their associated culture.
Fuck leg cramps even more.
