So quite few years ago, the Gay Men’s Chorus of LA was going to a conference in Florida. The director of the chorus, a somewhat clueless gentleman, was reading some of the rules and regulations. He came upon one rule:
“It says here that men are not to wear thongs on the beach.”
The guy looks up, and in all seriousness said to the group, “I wonder why they don’t want us to wear flip-flop shoes on the beach there?”
The chorus burst out laughing and someone had to explain another meaning of the word “thong”.

It accentuates the buttocks. Men are not supposed to draw attention to buttocks. Buttocks are a highly attractive thing on a female. On a man? Ugh.

Certain men look delish in thongs just as certain women do. Where I go to swim in nature there are often completely naked people. It’s a silly thing to be disgusted/disturbed by.

Huh? A nice butt is a thing of beauty. I resent the huge baggy pants style because the whole point of jeans is to showcase a nice butt, and those young men are toned and firm where it counts.
