When I had a mouse problem in my last apartment, I first turned to the classic snap traps. They were not particularly effective. Once I made the switch to glue traps, it was all over for Mickey and his little pals. Mercilessly effective devices. Hell, sometimes I would get home from work at night and discover that multiple mice had been caught on a single glue trap.
While I’m “fucking” people, fuck people who use glue traps.
Glue traps are quick and humane.
I like the snap traps better though. Not the metal ones- the plastic ones that look like a big paper clip.
Best mousetrap in the history of mousetrapping.
wait wait what. How are glue traps in any way humane? I agree with the plastic chip clip ones being the best, though
I could use some clarification here. What is the mechanism that causes mouse-death in a glue trap? I was under the impression that they starve to death.
Sometimes, their muzzles get down into the glue, and they drown/suffocate. But, yeah, normally glue traps lead to death from starvation/exposure/privation. Not humane by any means. Horrid fucking things.
As Sheldon Cooper says: “I’ll take you outside and teach you how to shoot close enough to a raccoon that it craps itself.”
Seconded. They’re cheap to acquire, cheap to feed, affectionate companions, and abominably cruel executioners.
Mice are fuckers. Kill them without mercy and focus on getting the little mini-rat bastards out of your abode.
I didn’t hit him…but I parted his hair!
Researching mouse traps like a year ago is what led me to your topic on google and, by extension, the SDMB. Or maybe it was more recently
I find that to be incredibly awesome. So I guess you know how I feel about mice then.
That you’re scared shitless of them?
