It’s like a Whale Vagina but upside down.
Apparently, it’s an intended-as-derogatory term to refer to males who oppose patriarchy/misogyny/sexism and all that bad stuff. People like me.
'course you did.
Sure “they” would. “They” are so totally non-stalkerish in “their” posting habits.
'course I did.
All kidding aside, yes I had. My memory sucks (especially short term, imagine that). Looking back, the recent mentions of the whole situation have all been made by you.
As Drunky so wisely opined:
[QUOTE=Drunky Smurf]
If you’d stop bringing it up people might actually start to forget about it.

Anyone else feel like they accidentally stumbled into a room at a party where a massive passive-agressive fight is going on between people they don’t really know all that well?
[Moderating]
Amazingly prescient! And yet, here you are doing it nonetheless.
Knock it off. That goes for everyone else, too.
No warnings issued.

As you say…
That’s as good a theory as any. I came to read about misogyny/sexism on Twitter but I have no idea WTF is going on.
Douchebags?
Seriously, I know you’re shrouded in your cloud of righteousness so you probably won’t be able to hear this, but the persona you project through your writing is absolutely insufferable. Not because of your beliefs, but because you are incredibly annoying. No one likes a sanctimonious martyr. Even the most hardcore feminists would find you unbearable after about fifteen minutes.
If you ever want to be less annoying, start with these helpful tips:
- Don’t lecture women on where they’d be without feminism.
- When someone calls you a pussy, don’t use it as an opportunity to wring your hands over the sexism of gender-specific insults.
- Don’t use the word patriarchy. Just don’t.
You should probably also just stay off of Twitter. You seem bad at it. #hardtruths
So, hmm. When somebody on twitter disagreed with your political views, the first thing you did is make their gender an issue. “Without men like me, your kind would be property” isn’t the type of thing that’s going to go over too well.
No, first of all, scientific consensus is not a political viewpoint, but more importantly, I then noticed that she was explicitly referring to herself in that misogynistic way. That’s the only reason I brought it up.
Mr. Dribble,
Would you mind providing a link to the thread you keep bringing up that you wish people would stop bringing up? I’d like to read it for myself.
Thanks
That’s not “Dribble”, that’s “Dibble”, as in, either a pointy thing for planting potatoes or a cop who regularly gets outsmarted by an alley cat that wears a vest and a hat, take your pick.
Neither, actually - Dibbler was already taken.
Regardless of whether the OP is self righteous or not (telling a woman where she’d be without feminism during a discussion on global warming is pretty bad), this sort of thinking really needs to stop.
Yes, SIR! Stopping that sort of thinking now SIR!
It’s not about me. I think I’ve been around the most hardcore feminists, and that’s not what happened.
I didn’t want to do it, and it was never the plan in any case, but silence betokens consent. Also, I’m not asking this to argue, as I am curious: why not use the word “patriarchy”?
We call them menarchists.
You should see its Dibbler Vagina.
