I pit myself for being a fool

See this is the problem. The guy doesn’t show up when I am there. He leaves a note, with a phone number that has been disconnected, with the excuse that his phone is being flaky. It’s flaky because you had your number changed so no one that you scammed out of money can call you about it. The whole deal just totally pisses me off.

If he shows up today to cut stone, then it will probably snow in Texas today. My hopes on ever seeing a finished product from this guy is fading fast.

Tiggrkitty, we’re outside Chicago, so I can’t do much there, but I did talk to my husband about this again, and for what it’s worth, he agreed you’re taking the right steps - filing complaints, etc. Don’t wait on it.
