I pit phone scammers

I did that once. She didn’t appeciate it, and hung up on me.

The second time in 2 days where I got a call for “Thomas Rogers” attempting to sell me an extended warranty on a 2012 Acura, I burst into a long sob story about how my Tom had been killed in that car just a month ago (I’ve told this before). I ended it with calling the caller a rude name and hanging up. I was really sorry they never called back - I had quite a story ready to go.

Anyway - even if there ARE laws about it, the scammers are at absolutely no risk of punishment as they are generally not in the US, and their countries can’t be bothered to enforce it.

A live caller occasionally gets this response: “How did you get this number?” (turn away from phone) “Special Agent Davis, run a trace”.

“Uh, Khakis”
