I Pit the Hadley CRU and the jerks that hacked their emails.

Dammit, GIGO! You were specifically told that further debate would require you to make an admission of guilt! An abject apology would not have been out of line, either! But you refused to make even this minor concession, even though it would mean we might continue to bask in the light of intention’s brilliance!

Now, I’m not angry, just very, very disappointed. Not sure if this is, in itself, enough to move you from Santa’s “nice” list to “naughty”, but it can’t help, surely. If you were entertaining fantasies about Tina Fey under your Xmas tree, naked on a bearskin, well, let’s just say that I doubt that she’ll be there, waiting for GIGO

Hmm I’m starting to wonder if I should mentally substitute heretic for denier

Declan

I have a quick question, and it seems the people here might be able to answer it. I recall that right after Al Gore testified to congress in 2007(?), there was another person who testified as well. I could be wrong about this, but I recall him having no tie, just a sports coat. While he did not deny GW, he was advocating slowing down what he thought was a rush to embrace it and spend billions. I recall two of the points he made:

  1. Yes, while X number of people die in Europe during the summer due to the heat, and global warming would logically increase that number, that more people die from the cold, and GC would reduce that number, which happened to be larger.

  2. That before we spend X billion instituting whatever programs, that we should look at the opportunity cost attached to it. For instance, for that same X billion he proposed that he could provide clean drinking water to everyone in Africa.

My question, anyone know who that guy was. I think he was Scandinavian, if that helps.

Thanks.

I beliebe you are talking about Bjørn Lomborg

For some reason because he uses the title of the “skeptic environmentalist” many in the denial movement think that he is one.

As I’m pessimistic, I do think not much will be done until 2020, when some effects will become undeniable. In the meantime Lomborg is to me a valid “plan B”. We should help the most affected poor nations to develop sooner, (Help with green technologies should be offered) so they will be ready when the shit hits the fan for them.

Nice dodge. One of his main points is that there are several others things that will save or improve more people’s lives with less money than fighting GW/AGW/CC

Where are the emails? It fits under the whistleblower category, but apparently they have not been uploaded to Wikileaks.

From Watt’s up with that.
Really, really candid.
