I Pit the ID-demanding GOP vote-suppressors (Part 1)

Didn’t ask if you cared, already knew you don’t. Asked if it worked. The level of your commitment to equality before the law has been amply demonstrated.

Also, you worded that with spectacular clumsiness: “some people chose to not vote because of a burden so minor as belief in a voodoo curse or inability to get free ID.” If some people were unable to get “free ID”, then, clearly, they had no such choice. Such a candid admission of treachery is beyond you.

Quick point: you’re a fucking moron.

But on behalf of America, I accept your congratulations. Yes, things turned out very well, indeed. <rubs hands together, channeling Mr. Burns>

Isn’t it ironic that Bricker would make an such an argument aimed at discounting the actions taken by people on the issue of voter ID? Essentially he is suggesting that these people were simply duped into an overblown, irrational and unsubstantiated fear, inconsistent with reality? The “voodoo curse” of [del] voter fraud on voter confidence[/del] fears of difficulty getting an ID on voter turnout.

Yeah, this guy is a bright one!

The number of people “unable” to get Voter ID is (if not actually zero) statistically insignificant.

So no one cares.

But that’s your problem! No one cares. You need to get people to CARE.

I recommend a folk song, and maybe some flowers in your hair.

How many votes must America lose,
Before she’s forever lost?
Yes, it’s Walker and King and that damn Ted Cruz,
Hear me people, you must see the cost!

It’s a start, if you can get the rights to “Blowin’ in the Wind,” from Dylan. He’s a fellow libby; you have a good shot.

Bricker, do you think when you’re burning in Hell, that you’ll realize you’ve wasted your life as a unprincipled, lying, twat? Or will you complain that Heaven is run by liberals?

Of course there is no Heaven or Hell, and you’ll shut off when you die. But hypothetically?

Won’t somebody save us from Bricker’s meant taunts?
Won’t somebody see what we abhor?
He won’t play the game; he ignores all our wants,
And our felons can’t vote anymore!

Do they give Grammys for song lyrics? 'cause baby, I’m feeling it.

Alternatively:

You’re so vain,
You probably think this thread is about you.

Your evidence for that is what?

And what about the number who would be able to get voter ID but for whom the effort is moderate-to-significant?

Is Bricker’s inferiority complex –
his need to say neener
due to his middling intellect
or to his micro-peener?

(1) why do you care? If only one side of an argument is asked to supply evidence, then surely you can see that the result is going to be where the side that is unfettered is permitted much more latitude.

(2) My evidence is inductive. I hear many claims about the aggregate numbers of supposedly disenfranchised voters, but every effort to highlight a particular case ends up showcasing examples like the guy who’s butthurt because he’s not allowed to vote using a name other than his legal name.

What about them? Do I care? No. Those are not unreasonable efforts. I don’t call that “unable.”

But why should I? This thread is not about anything but slinging insults. You may protest otherwise, based on your lack of insults, but you’ve allowed the insult atmosphere to thrive. Now it’s just called “the air.”

It’s actually about your inability to justify your stance, and continuing deflections from that fact. There is a subtext about your pathetic victim mentality and general lack of character.

There is something about voter suppression in here somewhere.

You insufferable dumb-fuck. First, MaxTheVool did not allow anything to thrive. This pathetic dodge of yours that somehow people are supposed to police other posters “on their team” is an invention completely of your own. It’s sad and childish and reflective of your ridiculous mentality.

Secondly, this thread has included a wide-ranging discussion of the issues. It’s nothing but name calling at this point because you have run out of the sad excuses you had for argumentation - all of which were blasted to bits, have been called out on your efforts to force the discussion into a pinprick of a legal focus, and have nothing left for yourself but stupid taunts.

This thread is a very good illustration of you as a poster: limited to a value no greater than the rote regurgitation of legal facts; totally at a loss for anything but the barest partisan stupidity outside of that restricted domain.

Yes, let’s look at the high-minded discussion of the issues that existed here before I polluted the liberal zenith of purity of expressive, calm-minded analysis that was above all free of name-calling and insults that my participation in the thread brought.

Post #1:

I guess most liberals see shit like the above and think, “It’s better not to criticize someone on my side.”

Is that what you all do?

You continue to be incredibly unimpressive with this childish misrepresentation of what I said. Stupid and petulant.

This difficulty breaking from a categorical perspective on everything exemplifies the middling intellect I’ve been talking about.

Personally I choose to respond based on content I find interesting, which may be some complex concept or a profanity-laden rant. I feel no obligation to respond or not respond to any post based on any other characteristics of the post or poster.

Og give me strength!

This is the Pit! There is a Pit culture, we’re Great Debates warped twin, the one locked in the attic and they feed fish heads to! We are not fit for polite company and don’t regret it! It is customary to applaud a spectacularly vindictive rant with kudos and golf farts. it is the way of my people, it is a venomous reptile petting zoo!

(Wait, do we have any Persians standing about next to any really deep fucking holes? No? Damn…)

This Is The Pit!!!

Where’d you think you were, over in GD, sipping tea with pinkies akimbo and murmuring polite, respectful disagreements?

Here, I can call Hentor an asshole, and its OK, because he is an asshole! So am I! So, are you, but you are an asshole! You approach theoretical limits of asshole, neutron density, you have an event horizon where information disappears.

See what I mean? No? Ah, well.

I was going to assume this was rhetorical, but given your concerns before about people failing to answer questions from you; not me. If I count as a liberal for you.

I don’t really think my concern was “people not answering questions.”

It was “people subjecting my arguments to exacting critiques and not applying cursory standards to the arguments of other liberals.”

How you doin’ on that one?

That was a concern too. But I was referring to you suggesting that liberals in general weren’t responding to your question about what means they had in mind for changing things the way they’d like that wasn’t effectively “fuck the rule and proper procedure of law”, and that it was because that was their view in general but they didn’t want to say it.

Me personally? Good, I’d guess. I’m not sure what the average would be to compare myself against.

No, I scan through it and think “I’m not going to waste my time reading the previous posts by BG and Bricker to each other to see if this is justified or not”.

God you’re a whiner.
