Saying “lol” after everything is a stupid internet trope, in that by doing so, you’re asserting that what you said is devastatingly funny but that your readers nonetheless can’t figure that out–it’s the contemporary equivalent of the sitcom laugh track.
If you dislike this guy Clothy, fine–but that doesn’t mean you should abandon the rules of civility and common decency when responding to him or to any other poster. The people here kind of disgust me in their behavior, attitude, and manner. Internet incivility is, sadly, another trope–you can drop all pretensions of being a civilized human being and just let yourself spew.

Had I been “clueless,” I wouldn’t have postulated that which you confirm is, in fact, true: that people get to act like children at recess here. Believe me, I easily figured out that common decency was not mandated here.

Well, see, I dispute this, also. I started with you making cogent points, politely, you started with the snark. And then you responded to my demolishing your arguments with strawmanning or ignoring the posts you couldn’t refute, or moving the goalposts. I pointed out all of this to give you chance to respond intelligently, and you ‘burbled burbled’.

You might have a point if high deficits caused the problem or if lowering deficits would put a single person back to work. But they didn’t and it wouldn’t, so you’re just full of nonsense.
I think we have to disagree on this. I think it is crippling. It’s getting worse on a daily basis and I seriously fear that the entire house of cards is going to collapse on us if we don’t do something drastic to fix it very soon.
No, those insults were all fine. And yes, people do get to act like utter assholes in the Pit. In fact, it’s the express purpose of this forum. You would probably know this already, if you had read the BBQ Pit rules sticky. Or the forum description. Or just about any of the other threads in here.
You should probably do that before you start any more Pit threads.
