I Pit Where Liberalism Has Gone

If I would have worn that shirt to any job I’ve had, except one where I worked by myself in a trailer at night in a remote location, I’d have been sent home immediately.

Listen, dwarf bigotry or even looking down on dwarves is far too common. The attitude pervades are culture to an extent that I was unaware of until my daughter and me walked by a dwarf couple in a book store. She was 10 when this happened and she did a double take and asked me a couple questions that led to yet another lesson on life and empathy.

Question 1. Are those real people? Real like us? Or gnomes like in World of Warcraft.

No, girl_octopus those are real people and please don’t stare.

Question 2. Can I go and get one and carry it around the store?

No, I know you like to lift things and your friends but you can’t just go grabbing dwarves and carrying them around the store. That’s not polite.

Moral of the story is short people are people too.

inscrutable has gone from bigot garbage spewer to obtuse slippery fool. Trolls are dull.

You’re a bigot and a coward who’s so full of bullshit it’s coming out your ears. Reasonable and thoughtful criticism is not “discrediting and hurting someone’s career”.

Let’s just think about this logically: inscrutable’s claim could be factually correct that he works with almost no minorities.

But then, I imagine that the Jefferson Davis Center for Advanced Study of Space Travel for Only Certain People but just for Economic and Trade Reasons (motto on its rockets: “We shall rise again!”) may have HR outreach problems.

Do you still believe this, or have you been disabused of this ridiculous notion? If you have, does it make you reconsider your beliefs about race in any way at all? I’m always curious if posters are able to learn and grow when their false beliefs are refuted.

Looks to be mostly true out here in Westfields, but I thank everyone here for setting me straight as for conditions in the country overall. It is encouraging that reality isn’t quite so bad as the hypothetical liberal world of white supremacists vs. the downtrodden others.
But I’m still unclear on how Conservative Christians are promoting starvation of the poor…

Is this “hypothetical liberal world” the product of Hannity and Limbaugh’s fantasies? It doesn’t sound like the beliefs of any real world liberals I know. Or are you just being absurdly hyperbolic, such that the discussion of any white supremacism means that you think liberals believe this?

you are a pitiful person.

It is only interesting to see that your idiot uninformed bigotry is not just limited to the muslim subject.

Of course since the idea of a “third sex” of persons of one physical sex being spiritually another sex has existed in traditional societies for thousands of years* - an obvious traditional explanation, your idiot assertion about transgendered people only shows you again to be the pitiful hateful stunted little person you are.

*: and it is the case indeed in even the Islamic societies where this has existed, like the Khanith.

Eliminate the minimum wage, cut welfare, eliminate the SNAP program… These are all Conservative goals aimed squarely at hurting the poor, because as they keep telling us, people on welfare or in need of assistance are just a bunch of lazy moochers who need to pull themselves up by their bootstraps. You know, just like Jesus didn’t say.

Not quite. Most conservative Christians oppose, not the goals of the programs, but who benefits from them. They’re for case-by-case, conditional charity where **they **get to decide who gets the charity, and use it as leverage to get the “deserving” poor to do this or that rather than a blanket society-wide system that covers everyone regardless of colour or creed.
So, pretty much how Christian missions operate in Africa : they distribute free food, buuuut you have to convert and come to Church every week and toss your condoms and so on before you can get any.

So, it’s no less damaging to society than just cutting all aid for the sake of Ayn Rand, but it’s a bit more slimy and manipulative.

It’s odd how bigots are often all “I don’t care if I offend people, I just speak The Truth” and accuse opponents of being professional offence-takers, and yet when they say bigoted things and people call them bigots, they act all offended. If one is supposedly ‘calling things as they are’, then surely it works both ways. I thought these types usually didn’t care what other people think about them anyway so why get so upset about being called one? Be a proud bigot! #BigotPride

The BigotPride Corollary - “It’s my First Amendment right to speak my mind!” is said right after a bigot gets confronted with words and nothing else.

Related, “muh free speech” being used to excuse hate and bullying. And this idea that anyone challenging them is ‘silencing’ them. Free speech is so you can openly criticise government without being slung in jail, not to give you the right to say what you want without being challenged, or to abuse people because “it’s just free speech!”

No absurd hyperbole here, right?

What if the shirt in questions illustrations also carried by each scantily clad body, the caption, “Short Guys have no right to date women who look this good?” I doubt you would consider it so benign.

I’d bet there’s less than you think there is.

Well, I guess you could claim that, hypothetically, Christians will vote for Republican candidates, who, hypothetically, support tax cuts which, hypothetically, could result in cuts to welfare and SNAP.

But this doesn’t actually happen, does it?

Hey, wait, maybe you’re talking about the perceived goals of a few hard-right fiscal conservatives, and projecting those ideas onto everyone who might vote Republican?

Right, and it’s not like they’re ashamed of it, that is what ‘faith-based’ means. If doing charitable deeds is the objective a person could sign up for Doctors Without Borders or something and leave the Bible in their luggage.

Perfect forum for that.
