wait, so transgender is a sex (instead of a gender) now? Also, if one is “transgender,” doesn’t that mean they’re still one of two genders? Tell us more about the third gender, the one that is not “male” or “female.”
And try to be a little more coherent than those who claim there is a “rape culture” but can never define it.
I guarantee you haven’t seen in your lifetime the amount of bigotry and hatred that gets showered on trans people in.
Except short men are far more likely to have been bullied (both socially/emotionally and physically), made fun of, and had less friends in school, and are prone to violent suicide.
OHHHH, short men are men, so they’re still natural “oppressors” and aren’t part of the liberal Protected Classes.
Compared to trans people, those suicide rates are miniscule. Trans people have much, much higher rates of suicide, as well as statistics for bullying.
You are bigoted against trans people. If you want to be a better person, and most straight women want to date decent and non-bigoted men, then try to not be a bigot.
my point is that the definitions vary so widely from both people and sources that a reliable consensus definition can’t be found, and people like you think “rape culture” can exist even in the absence of rape (like the Trump tapes).
There is no one single definition of “rape culture” that is consensus. You then condone the railroading of Matt Taylor, or make apologies for critics. Yes, his huge accomplishment renders the shirt into “who gives.” This isn’t like he was James Watson who said legitimately bigoted things (or in his case, racist things). You’re an SJW.
Also, back to the thread, the railroading of Billy Bush is another example of SJW zeal; he should not have been suspended for being a dude, and its not like he’s running for Prez, nor did he know Trump would do so in the future. At what point is it open season on anyone and everyone who may have had traditional attitudes about the gender roles?
Do you somehow imagine that liberals are in favor of this? We oppose bullying, we oppose driving people to suicide, we oppose making fun of people because of their physical characteristics. Liberals are fighting against this kind of behavior, every day.
Bush got suspended for coming across as a complete sleazeball, and made his employer look shitty. If I did something shitty while being a well-known public front for the company I work for, I’d get canned too, and I would deserve it, as little Billy does.
nearly always, the blacks rap like that themselves. Randy Newman is a regular height man, or maybe I should make up a new prefix like “cis” or something.
Liberal feminists rail against all the gender roles and norms EXCEPT the one that states men must be taller than men. Deafening silence on that, because quite frankly, they like having one subset of men they can stick it to.
The only thing that varies so widely is the lies and the willful falsehoods you emit as you try to throw up the smoke screen to justify your hateful bigotries, stunted little bigot hater that you are.
“Rape culture” is about rape and all the behaviors that make rape easier, including the minimization of sexual harassment and sexual assault. I’ve told you this before but you’re not interested.
I’d be honored to be a warrior for social justice, but I’m just a talker for social justice.
Taylor wasn’t railroaded – he was criticized. Criticism is okay. He could take it. Criticism isn’t the end of the world. You might be such a baby that you can’t take criticism, but most people aren’t such whiny little cowards like you are. Most people (hopefully) aren’t bigots like you as well.
He was suspended for minimizing sexual assault, and for his disgusting insistence that Trump and he are entitled to affection from a young actress. Yes, feeling entitled to women’s bodies, regardless of their wishes, is part of rape culture and makes it easier for rapists to rape.
a little broad, isn’t it? Which behaviors? What is minimization vs exageration in these cases, etc.?
Ever heard of good outweighing bad? Many people know MLK was a philanderer, but normal people hear it, and think to themselves “on balance, the good he did far outweighed the bad, so who effing cares about his adultery.” The only people who actually think it matters are usually just racists or trolls.
Even for as much as I disagree with Trump’s isolationism, his termperment, and the fact that he clearly doesn’t know that loose lips sink ships, Trump never talked about putting GHB in anyone’s drink, tying anyone down, and the context could’ve easily meant things girls non-verbally encourage him to do.
He’s such an obvious troll that I cannot even respond to him seriously. His arguments over time, or even within a thread, are often so contradictory and bizarre that if he’s not trolling, he’s honest-to-goodness insane and probably shouldn’t be using a computer in the first place.
We could certainly have a conversation about this, or you could read about it. I named some behaviors, and I’m sure you can think of more – what are other behaviors which demonstrate a feeling of entitlement to women’s bodies without regard to their feelings?
Taylor’s a good guy. It doesn’t mean he can’t be criticized. He was criticized and he learned from it, and we all learned what a good and thoughtful dude he is.
How about the stories just breaking right now that three women have come forward and said that Trump groped them? Is that still no big deal to you? Or do you think they were encouraging him to grope them?
