I think I broke my left shoulder blade

Nada. Nothing. Nil. I’ve checked again and again. I’m crushed! Here I am, poised to make the girls from Russ Meyer’s fabulous, but sinister showbiz underworld my desktop background, only to be let down. Why you teasing me? My crush is beginning to wane, loverboy…

So did you fall off the back of a motor cycle or the motor cyclist ?

If only. He slipped in a puddle of lube or poppers, more like.

Somehow, I don’t think that would be a good idea. You’re welcome, by the way. Just trying to make you feel a bit better.

What is with all these double posts I seem to be having lately? I press the submit button only once, I swear! Then the reply page times out, so I refresh it… presto! A double post! Weird…

Do not fret, Flamsterre_X. The pain is under control right now, although it was excruciating earlier, and I’ll have to miss at least one day of work at a really bad time to take sick days. Like I said, we’re all under the gun and I need to be back at work on Monday. However, a doctor’s note is a doctor’s note. If he wants me to stay off work for four days, then I’ll do it. That means tomorrow and this weekend. I have to be back at work on Monday because there are things to do that ony I can do.

As I said, my manager told me today to just get to the E.R., and not to worry about work. What bugs ne is that I’m the resident expert in FrameMaker, I’ve prepared a style guide for our translators, and they might need it Monday.

In most other cases where I work, it wouldn’t matter this much, but for reasons I can’t get into (non-disclosure agreement), I have to “be there.”

You got the pics, did you not? If not, what was that email about?

Man I’m loopy. I just woke up from my (legal) drug-induced stupor, and am now in infomercial hell. I can’t find my bloody glasses, so I’m pretty much blind. Ugh. But the pain is halfway gone, though it still sometimes feels like something’s sticking out of my back. Anyway, it’s bearable, at least now.
