Well, yeah, it is. Your summary is true as well, but it doesn’t really invalidate mine in any way. Yeah these guys were dangerous. But they were ALSO clueless buffoons: something for which we can be thankful.

I agree. The point I was trying to make is that even ‘clueless buffoons’ sometimes get lucky. The guys who pulled off 9/11 weren’t exactly genius masterminds when we take a step back and look more closely.

I also agree with you that we should be thankful that MOST of these folks end up shooting themselves in the dick…most of the time.
