I thought you said Kugel exercises....

So the biopsy revealed prostate cancer, and today we find out more details. Someone suggested Kugel exercises, which I looked up. They sounded great! Noodles and cream and cinnamon…then I checked the spelling…Ba dum tsh! Between the gout, the hives, the prostate, no kugel, and the US election, I should have stayed in bed from 1 January. All I can say is, the next Archer season better be great!

Kugel is great in theory and good for the first couple of bites but it has the density of a dwarf star. You are better off without it.

That’s a lot to handle all at once. At least doing keigels isn’t difficult or painless. One article said to do them when standing in line at the supermarket. I’ve never looked at the people in the checkout line the same.

I’ve never been fond of kugel, honestly. Noodles and sweet don’t go together for me. I don’t know why, as I like rice pudding and bread pudding. My loss.

Growing up in a Jewish neighborhood, kugel, chopped liver, gefilte fish, and matzo ball soup were my favorites.

It’s an easy mistake to make.

They were really talking about kegel exercises, which help you with your German nine-pin bowling:

Some women think that this helps them with their pelvic floor muscles, but I’ve never figured out how that’s supposed to work.

This. And knishes, kreplach and hamantaschen.

Noodle kugel was the only form I could eat pasta in for many years.

Something about the texture came across better to me than most pasts.

Me, I love that stuff. You gotta crisp the bottoms so there’s a little crunch, and the cream helps with the density.

It’s spelled “cudgel”.

There are people in the dark corners of the Internet who will help you with your cudgel exercises, but I suspect they are rather pricey.

A fork full of kugel is similar to a cudgel; all the weight is at the far end, & while not particularly sharp, you could probably brain someone but good with a fork full of kugel (if you can get it to stay on the fork that is)
