When I was little, in the 60s.
Between Diversey & Fullerton.
I remember Mom, Grandma, my brothers & I going to Kosciuszko Park.
What’s that neighborhood like, these days.
Never been back.

Why not look around on Bing’s aerials or Google’s Street View?
The Census Bureau shows the 2010 demographics for the surrounding blocks as 49% Hispanic, 42% white, 5% black.
OK so far.
Anybody been there?
Thriving? Not?
Crime? High or low?
I used to live on Monticello, two blocks west of Drake, near the area. If you were on Wrightwood (midway between Fullerton and Diversey), you’d be due west of the Logan Square. The neighborhood is hipsterizing, which I guess is a way of saying it is proto-gentrifying, although not quite as west as you were—yet. The character of that part of the neighborhood is mostly Hispanic, working-class to middle-class. But a few blocks east, you have the Longman and Eagle, a Michelin-starred restaurant, and Lula’s, another Logan Square favorite.
To the north is Avondale, which was a bastion of Polish immigrants. There is still a measure of that, but again, most of theose immigrants have departed to points further out in the Northwest Side and adjacent suburbs. These days you’re as likely to hear Spanish as you are Polish.
Hermosa, a bit west of where you lived is still a bit rough. What little I know about it is that it was one of the sites where a group of crooked Chicago cops led by Jerome Finnigan plied their trade and robbed the residents these part few years ago.
