I want a pet fox

Bobcats and lynxes are separate species:
Bobcat
Lynx

I’ve heard of people keeping bobcats domestically, but they need WAY more stimulation than your normal housecat - big yard, lots of trees, tire swings, etc.

You can adopt one through the National Wildlife Federation or another organization like it:

*I want a pet fox
One that won’t bite my hand
One that ain’t gonna stink my house
Or cost eight grand.

I want a pet fox
One that won’t chew my rugs
One that jumps up and licks my face
And lets me give 'em epic hugs

One that don’t attack you
One that don’t run away
One that lets me love 'em
ev’ry single daaaaayyy

ev’ry single day*

Just get a Shiba Inu, like I did. Almost as domesticated as a wild fox (I’m lucky, mine’s pretty tame).

The common species name not including a specific term does not make the animal not part of a specific group of critters. The red lynx, Lynx rufus, aka bobcat is indeed part of the genus Lynx. Do you also believe that the elk is not a deer?

I want one, too. Megan, to be precise.

Oh, man. I clicked on their photo page. I want one of the dog colored ones.

Of course, I’d have to win the lottery first. And wait until my dog died. She gets anxious if there’s another pet around. She’s sure they’re going to take attention, food and pets from her.

And leave California, unfortunately. Or find a back-alley vet.

Heh, last night I dreamed I had a pet fox cub. This thread probably caused that dream.

Most people are satisfied with buying a pet at the pet store. More do-it-yourself individuals–like yourself, of course–may want to order a kit from the internet.

Clever.

Why thank you–I was concerned such a remark might be taken as a little fox paws.
