I want to get my hands on some SCO stock certificates...

…for Christmas gifts around the office and such.

Is there any way to get 'em without signing up for a brokerage account? My only investment accounts at the moment are various company 401k’s, and if I’ve got to spend half a day screwing around with etrade or something, I’d rather not bother.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

I think that they sell them here.

Oneshare doesn’t appear to carry their shares. I would guess that when the company clears BK and the current shares become worthless, you could buy them on Ebay which is where I buy mine for decorative purposes. You may be able to get them now from a disgruntled shareholder.

You can always contact a firm that sells ceritificates as well and see if they have any in stock or request one in the event that it does become available.

Other than that, I doubt it would take too long to set up a brokerage account. The only downside is that once you set it up and buy the shares, you still have to go through the hassle of requesting certificates.

SCO stock certificates can be easily found in most supermarkets… look in the toilet paper aisle.
