I want to map keys on my keyboard

I got a new keyboard, and a few of the keys I really want to map to other functions. It’s pretty much a dealbreaker with me, as the shift key is only half as large as every other computer keyboard I’ve used, and I keep missing it. If I could map the key next to it to be shift as well, I could live with it.

I’ve found mention of Kernel Toys that Microsoft had once offered, but I installed it (as far as I can tell), and it just opens a command window, puts in some files, and disappears.

Does anyone know of a way to remap keys on an XP computer?

Use remapkey.exe from here, or KeyTweak.

Sharpkeys is the thing I found that really worked.

Just FYI.
