Satire doesn’t really work when it’s indistinguishable from your normal posting habits. I’m sure more people would have got the joke if “stupid and crazy” wasn’t your standard MO.

The problem with you doing satire is that you suck at it. Satire is not just posting a bunch of idiotic fake opinions in response to posts about your initial idiotic fake OP. If you think it is, well, that’s probably why you suck at it.

Well, I was going to say that there is a way to do joke threads that doesn’t get you a troll strike on your record, but I see Giraffe has covered it succinctly.

I agree with Miller that you trying to parody recreational outrage is like Tom Waits trying to parody gravelly-voiced singers. This one was indistinguishable from some of your previous spittle-flecked offerings, such as this anti-Bush screed and this rant about people trying to sell cars..
Your inability to accept reasonable moderation is in perfect harmony with your previous reactions as well.

Part of the problem is you picked a topic that is of legitimate concern, that already had two threads on the first page of the forum, to attempt to parody something else, entirely unrelated to the topic you used for your attempt.

The warning stands. Posts that are indistinguishable from trolling are against the rules, even in the poster’s later claimed intent was something else, such as humor/satire, sociological experimentation, or making an important point that could only be done through bizarre message board posts. If you don’t want warnings for trolling, don’t post like a troll.
