Game wardens, in general, do have expanded search powers but hey are limited and do not include warrantless house searches. From Wikipedia :
Search with or without warrant[edit]
The laws in many U.S. states allow game wardens to conduct certain types of searches with or without search warrants.
The law in Louisiana for instance states in part “…any commissioned wildlife agent may visit, inspect, and examine, with or without [a] search warrant, records, any cold storage plant, warehouse, boat, store, car, conveyance, automobile or other vehicle, airplane or other aircraft, basket or other receptacle, or any place of deposit for wild birds, wild quadrupeds, fish or other aquatic life or any parts thereof whenever there is probable cause to believe that a violation has occurred. Commissioned wildlife agents are authorized to search and inspect (just as other law enforcement officers) under the authority of probable cause - records, cold storage plants, bait stands, warehouses, public restaurants, public and private markets, stores, and places where wild birds, game quadrupeds, fish, or other aquatic life or any parts thereof may be kept and offered for sale, for the purpose of ascertaining whether any laws or regulations under the jurisdiction of the department have been violated…”[3]
If they did, however, and chose to inspect the freezer in my house, Mrs. Paul would be in a world of trouble.

Poaching.

I didn’t move the deer to see if there was an obvious wound from a bullet, arrow or being struck, but the side I could see didn’t show any obvious signs of trauma. My first thought is that it was a poached deer.
I prefer braised, myself. Poaching removes too much of the flavor.
It happens with deer too , though in this case a dead deer. I am trying to come up with the right term for a guy who has sex with road kill deer. “Pervert” just doesn’t seem to do it justice.
