I wish I was ambidextrous so that I could tweeze hair from my left ear as easily as from my right. As it is, I’ve got one hairy ear. I fear I’m going to end up like Solomon Grundy.
I’d give my right arm to be ambidextrous.
Well, that was cheesy
Meh, I’m ambidextrous. It has it’s finer moments, but it isn’t that wonderful. Take, for instance… today, I wanted to play baseball. However, I could only find a right-handed glove. Note: I am more comfortable as a lefty. However, I managed to play just fine throwing righty.
And it comes in handy with scissors and desks.
oooooh Caught at work beat me to it.
Ahem.
Caught at work and Mermaid, that was my sig line for quite awhile, but I’ll forgive you not knowing that since I lurk a lot more than I post (with either hand).
Neptune,
Yes, being ambidextrous would be handy
And don’t forget the left-hand rule:
If you lose your left hand, then your right hand is left.
Hey, you can become ambidextrous.
I’m right-handed, but I’ve taught myself to write reasonably clearly with my left hand.
you can’t BECOME ambidextrous, but you can practice yourself to be left handed or right handed.
I am actually ambidextrous from birth.
Yes, its true its 1% of the world, and you can do things with both your hands. My uncle was like me, so I came from a Gene. Gaming is more comfortable and easier to control. We are capable being better at sports, music, and art. I’ve broken my left hand(the hand i write with usually) and easily were to write with my left, eating is also a pro, when I eat, i can hold two utensils at a time to have a better experience(like chopsticks and spoon) now for cons, it is known that we have a slight lower IQ than one handed people, people think your a freak in elementary school having less friends. Teachers and parents expect more from you. friends or students at school think that your better than them and be mad at you for no reason. just talking about it makes them jealous and can start the other person mad. There is always pros and cons about something. dont be jealous, be youself, we all are special in our own way. people can call you FREAK, ASSHOLE, or even GOODY TWO SHOES, dont judge, there will aways be someone better than you, the only thing is that you can be a better person, achieve by looking forward, not looking at different paths, your you… and you is good.

Is someone with two non-functioning hands ambidextrous?
I wish people would use the subjunctive. But what can you do?
Would 'twere
The wish of every married man…
And if you lose your left hand, it’s not a problem; you’re all right.
Ah, but can you do it while writing your written words so they are upside down to you?
I can, left or right handed going left to right or right to left for the following;
TLO
TOP LOAD ONLY
SOFT TOP
NO STACK
THIS SIDE UP
LIQUIDS
NO TILT
TEMPURPEDIC MATTRESS
KEEP FLAT
AND WEL-er I mean and welcome to the dope
I started as a lefty and my teachers made me use my right hand. It completely wrecked my cursive writing. I twist my right hand oddly and it results in smudges and very little control of the pen. Teachers loved to knock off points for penmanship. I taught myself to type in junior high. So I could type all my writing assignments.
I do a lot of things right handed. I also use my left. Especially with silverware. I switch hands holding the fork from day to day. I’ll pick up a glass and drink with either hand.
I took office machines in high school. Learned the ten key adding machine left handed. I built up a lot of speed. I felt pretty clever until pc’s entered my life. The numeric keypad is on the right. I had to retrain myself to use my right hand for data entry.
I can switch hands pretty easily. It takes a little practice. Like using tweezers. I make a point to do it with either hand. Keep both trained.
I’m pretty sure I’m a natural southpaw, I do recall my parents deciding I was right handed at a very young age because they knew everything. But I was never comfortable with it and it took a long time to learn left from right. When my right hand was in a cast people said my left hand writing was very readable, surprising because my right hand writing isn’t. I gave up using cursive at an early age, it just never worked right for me. But I did everything as if I was right handed all my life, practicing to get better at it if needed, and by adulthood my right arm was much stronger and better trained than my left. So I doubt I ever could go back. But I have noticed a variety of activities I perform equally well with my right and left hands, and I was able to pick up juggling very easily using my left pretty much as well as my right.
