I was years ahead of them. In the late 90s I had a giant Packard Bell CRT monitor with a huge neck sticking out the back that put out a ton of heat. If I tilted the monitor down, the neck would be level and I could reheat burritos and slices of pizza on it (I had no microwave in my tiny slum apartment, just a stove).
