I have to communicate with a third-party which is running IBM Websphere MQ Series. They say they are unable to send and receive straight JMS messages, because that requires a plugin that they don’t want to install. They also say that I can’t use the MQ client libraries to communicate with them, because that also requires a plug-in that they don’t want to install. They want me to bring up my own installation of IBM Websphere MQ series, which is pricey, so I’m trying to find another solution. Any ideas?
I haven’t worked with MQSeries for nearly 10 years but it doesn’t make sense that they’d need a plugin for you to use the MQ client. Would your client be connecting directly to their queue manager, or is this plugin some sort of a proxy that’s needed to tunnel through firewalls etc?
