That thing looks* amazing*! How could they think that wouldn’t sell in the US? I want one now! It would probably melt during the trip, huh?
We have no icecream man in this neighborhood, but at my last house, we had one that would go 'round and 'round for hours playing “Pop Goes the Weasel” It was enough make me feel psycho. Hopefully he had a really good set of earplugs.
There’s nothing that quite says “You’re a Grownup” as much as buying SIX FUDGSICLES from the icecream man and putting 4 in the freezer for later. Purchasing power, baby!
Ahhh the ice cream man. Memories! They are still around here, but only in the “hood”. My favorites were the red/white/blue bomb pops and Bubblegum-in-a-Toe. I liked orange pushups too but I could get those at the corner-store.
In my little town, what we had was a guy on a bicycle-like contraption who sold popsicles for a dime (yeah, I’m that old). All he had was popsicles, but we still called him the ice cream man. But it was something to watch a bunch of kids playing out in the front yards rush home to get that dime when we first heard the bells.
