They have purchased property near the airport in Romulus for a 500 person detention facility without informing congress or local authorities. They are also said to have leased offices in Southfield.
Looks like the lack of congressinal funding isn’t slowing them down. We have one of the largest Hispanic immigrant communities on the border with Canada. No doubt much more to come.

I just saw a story about a facility slated to open in Georgia, THAT MAY HOUSE CHILDREN, and ICE doesn’t seem to care that local infrastructure cannot handle anything like this. FWIW, I wrote snail-mail letters to the area’s elected officials, recommending that this be stopped. I felt that strongly about it.
