The kind of money ICE is getting, you’d think they would invest in uniforms for their troops. As is, they dress up in whatever is vaguely tactical, making it easier for real criminals to impersonate them. And, as if it matters, it’s kind of unprofessional.
I’m pretty sure this is intentional. Chaos is unprofessional.
They want real criminals to impersonate them (hell, they hire them!). Why do you think they will start a civil war before they agree to not wear masks? Without masks, we’d know they’re staffed by criminals.
Or they could be wearing civvies so they can drop their gear and turn a protest into a riot.
I suspect that given the insane scope that they are attempting, that money still isn’t enough for uniforms for everyone.

ICE is creating chaos in one of the Pittsburgh, PA communities near me.
ICE abducted an Oakmont Bakery employee who is reportedly to be in the country legally. They took him in front of his daughter shortly before school. No warrant, same shenanigans as everywhere else.
The city council is officially proclaiming some resistance. It is reported that the community will not participate with ICE.
That’s a large tent, there- “against fascists”. So you’d have to include the Allied armies of WW2. I’d say the more militant antifa people do have a clue what it means. They differ from non-militant people mostly in that their patience is wearing thin or has expired.

Amazingly, the Red Hats parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts were the original antifa. The countrysides in Europe have dozens of US cemeteries (well organized) honoring fallen US soldiers who came to their defense. The Europeans remember, the MAGAnuts are oblivious.
There have always been conservatives that thought we fought on the wrong side in WWII, When Senator Joe McCarthy Defended Nazis
