Normally I think it’s unprofessional when politicians use profanity, but in this case I really can’t think of a better way to put it.
According to this video, a bystander identified himself as a physician and asked to check for a pulse on the woman, or render any aid he could. He was denied that chance. After identifying himself as a doctor, the ICE agent said (audible in the linked clip), “I don’t care.”
The Minneapolis schools will be closed Thursday and Friday. I don’t know if I’d want to send my kids to school when the street situation is so tense, but I also wouldn’t know how to explain to little kids why there’s no school.
They can’t use remote learning days, because of some rule that says they’re only for snow days and other weather emergencies. Maybe the rule should get modified in case of police state lockdowns.

This is a good historical callback, but I would suggest (and I’ve mentioned this in at least one other thread) that a better modern comparison might be the Basij in Iran. They are an irregular auxiliary, made up mostly of volunteers, which is tasked with keeping internal order (versus the formal Revolutionary Guard, which is the external-facing military). Members of the Basij roam the country, looking for dissidents and unrest. When there are wide-scale protests, it’s the Basiji who are on the front lines of cracking down.

If you want to see how the Iranian state represents this organization, there is a 20-plus minute propaganda video you can watch. It’s long and boring, but it’s noteworthy how the mission is described and promoted — they are a “people’s force” focused on peacekeeping. In the real world, Iranians know they’re lawless thugs who crack heads and crush dissent, but that’s not the official sales pitch.
The Iranian people usually keep their heads down and passively suffer the Basij’s abuse. However, tensions rise from time to time, and the people get fed up and snap back. For comparison purposes, this very recent short video will be instructive.
Incidentally, for historical reference, you may remember the incident from 2009 where a woman who was traveling peacefully through a protest area was shot and killed. Her murderer was a Basiji, and her death was caught on video, triggering a massive escalation in protester outrage.
The potential relevance of this woman’s killing to current events is left as an exercise for the reader.
This is really frightening now that I’ve seen this aftermath video. Every Fed statement is a lie, and I hope media calls it that. Lies.

I’ve seen info on the truck he got out of… plate #, VIN number, all of the trucks details. It could be traced back to the owner of the truck which is likely one of those two men. Obviously I won’t post it here… maybe some soothing music instead?

Yes, Jesse Watters is already banging that drum, along with “she listed her preferred pronouns” and “she had a child from a previous marriage” (somehow ignoring the fact that this is because her spouse died in 2023). Because Watters remains a morally bankrupt scumbag.
While I agree with you, with the administration, who knows? There’s something fundamentally wrong deep inside with anyone that wants to be ICE, so maybe they just accept “you have to drive yourself, we don’t have budget for rental cars”.
Half of the online comments I’ve read were “FAFO” (a phrase that has worn out its welcome in record time). Undoubtedly from people who know nothing about the incident but assume that anything ICE does is just hunky-dory.
