ICE puts up political billboards in Pennsylvania

Ice has paid for six billboards featuring six billboards featuring immigrants that were released by police for insufficient evidence but were not turned over to ICE:

“The billboards feature an image of an “at-large” immigrant who was arrested or convicted of a crime but were “released by: Philadelphia Police Department.” The word “WANTED BY ICE” also accompanies the image.”

Is ICE supposed to be spending money on political attack billboards? Doesn’t smell right to me.

I think it’s wrong, but not on the basis of billboards being too political. I see them as basically wanted posters, which is fine in principle. I also wonder how they were paid for.
