Wow. I thought I knew my classic Nickelodeon, but damn, I’ve never heard of any of those.
Me neither. Those were for the birds.
I only got Fred Penner from googling it, actually…hangs head Although I used to watch him all the time as a wee one. (For some reason, I always thought of it as Fred PANner. And now I have a weird memory of him and some friend of his singing a song about tasty tears. Ew.)
I will fess up here too.
I was looking at Nick sites on shows, to gather clues. only AFTER reading the name Fred Penner, did all the memories come back.
Littleburg was set up to be a good show. A GREAT show. Picture Lazy Town, with out the obligatory psuedo dance/techno, and an actual “teaching life skills” plot based line.
However, I think a LOT of people took issue with Whoopi being on the show (And I do Believe it was HER show, in the directorial sense.) given her past lifestyle choices. (She has in the past admitted to playing on both sides of the street.)
Bing! Like I said was, I guess a Pilot episode that never took off. I only saw the previews for it, not the show it self. Again, it mentioned POGS. Which should point to the year it came out.
IIRC, it came on , on a friday, 7:30 or so. Killer timeslot for any TV show, from what I hear.
The Tommorow people had a GOOD run, but IIRC, Nick never showed all the episodes, leaving the story arc in the air.
Your typical Youth with Superpowers (Teleportation, ESP, telekenisis) type show. Decidedly from the UK, except for Megabyte (His nickname), a mundane youth who was related to one of the tommorow people.
Perhaps the show jummped the shark, when Megabyte obtained the powers of the others, simply because he thought about them, that much.
I figured TTP would have been an easy guess.
Littleburg and Bing! I figured would go real far.
Hopefully now, we can get life back in the thread.
After two seasons, he was winging it without her
