A few years ago I read a very funny book by a guy who was half-Brit half-Mick. Here’s what I remember about him:
a) The book was an account of his travels through Ireland. On the trip he visited a lot of pubs and also Chinese restaurants where he’d always order Singapore noodles.
b) During the trip he participated in a pilgrimage to a shrine.
c) He was raised and educated in the UK but spent his summers on a farm in Eire owned by his mother’s brother.
d) The book jacket mentioned that he had presented TV shows in the UK.
e) The book was published maybe 15 - 20 years ago.
Does this ring a bell with anyone? I’d like to read the book again and read any others he’s written.
Thanks!
