I was trying to remember a short story I read in HS…I think it may have been written by John Galsworthy (perhaps). Anyway, it was about a young couple just married, visiting a lawyer’s office to set up a will. Then, years later, the same couple is getting divorced…and visits the same lawyer’s office.
Anybody know the name and author of this story?
That actually sounds like a short play by James Barrie, titled The Will. Included in The Twelve-Pound Look and other plays (full scanned text at link, with some errors).
Thanks..it was the play you linked to. Great story..sad,but reflective of reality.
