Now, I don’t claim to be a ‘car guy’ by any stretch, but I’d bet the farm that Bugatti is Italian.

Ettore Bugatti was indeed Italian, but he set up shop for his company Molsheim, in the Alsace region. At the time it was under German control, but that region has gone back and forth between Germany and France several times - it’s now part of France.
The Bugatti factory is still in Molsheim, but the brand is currently owned by Volkswagen.

They have a sort of art deco charm to them, nothing like modern models.
