I read a quote somewhere which said that empty three-dimensional space is not truly empty, because it contains all the rules which demand that there be five platonic solids, etc. Does anyone recognize this quote? I thought I had seen it in Holden’s Space, Shapes, and Symmetry, but I wasn’t able to find it upon a second look.
