ID this movie quote, por favor

“That’s not me. I’m not him.”

Said in a jokey way. I kept trying to hear the voice and eventually I thought I’d come up with Bill Murray, but now I’m thinking maybe it’s a female and the last word is “her?” I tried searching but got nothing. Help!

Sixteen Candles. Jake’s drunk girlfriend slowly comes around and he says that to make her think Farmer Ted is really Jake.

3 minutes! Shazam! Thank you ever so.

I aims ta please.

*Caroline : Who’s he?
Jake : That’s me.
Caroline : Who are you?
Jake : I’m him.
Caroline : Oh, ok. *

Is that what you meant? I was just looking on IMDB to see if the quote was there…Except that’s not what I was looking for. I’m almost positive that the line I’m thinking of is “That’s not me. I’m not him.” Maybe I’m just not remembering correctly the line I’m thinking of? Crap!

It sounds very familiar, saramamalana. I’m really not sure, but could it be John Cusack in ‘Being John Malkovitch’?

I googled that quote and came up with an episode of “Roswell.” (I’ve never seen it.) Here’s what it said:

Does that sound familiar?

I never watched Roswell. :frowning:

Kevin Kline and Scott Glenn have a similar exchange with Brion James in Silverado.

They meet up with James when he’s trying to get the wagon train of settlers rolling. He mistakes Glenn and Kline for the guides.

Glenn: “I’m not Hawley, and he’s not Baxter.”
James (looks at Kline): “You’re not Hawley?”
Kline: “I’m not Baxter.

or something like that.

Yes, that’s what I meant. I don’t know what it could be if not that, sorry.

gum, I’m pretty sure that’s not it. Harumph!

Crap, this is driving me nuts! I’m almost thinking it’s Jim Carrey’s voice now. aaghghghghahah choke

If it’s Jim Carrey, perhaps it’s his line from The Mask. “It wasn’t me. It was the one-armed man!”

Is this from a movie where someone is having some type of out of body experience? Or a mistaken identity?

It seems really familiar to me. The only thing I can think of with Bill Murray is maybe Scrooged.

Or else Aston Kutcher comes to mind.

I don’t think either of those is right. I can’t remember either and it’s bothering me.

slight bump Because dammit I still haven’t figured it out!
