Ideas for April Fools Day Jokes..

Wide open forum, but devious and yet practical score big points!

Here’s mine… (Although posting it here will probably spoil it for THIS yr!)

I live in a northern Canadian city, and we put a lot of sand on our roads during the winter. I have some fine gold powder that a placer miner friend gave me (a small amount, but more than enough for the purpose).

The sand collects in the gutters and usually doesn’t get completely cleaned up until late April, early May.

I want to start a road sand “Gold rush”. My plan is to contact the newspaper and tell them that I decided to try “Panning” the road sand collected in my front curb, just for a lark, and show them a sample I have “salted”.

No doubt it will generate a page 6 style “Isn’t that funny” story.

What I hope, is that people will try panning the gold out of their own curb sand residue, and HERE’s the “kicker”. The sand does actually contain a small amount of gold. and No doubt someone will manage to pan out a very small amount of powder gold… and it will snowball from there…

Hilarity ensues…

(now… your ideas!)

There was a guy in my highschool who left a suicide note for his parents.

But that was more a cry for help. He ended up really killing himself later.
