Identify a Song from a 1950s/60s Television Western

I believe the refrain from the song is “Jake. Jake Hardy. Some day you’ll hang.”

I remember this song from a show I used to watch in reruns as a kid. It was in black and white and might have been The Rifleman, Wyatt Earp, or possibly but less likely Gunsmoke. The song wasn’t a normal part of the program but it was just for that one episode. All I remember is that there was a character named Jake Hardy (I think) who was apparently a bad man who was going to gun down the main character. Lucas McCain? Wyatt Earp? I don’t remember.

This is a long shot but I figure if anyone might remember it’s someone here.

And I see it was Jake Pardee rather than Jake Hardy. Yay! You guys rule.
