Identify these odd berries

Saw a sort of vine thing with interesting berries today, trying to figure out what it is. The internet is not being very very great at the moment. Looking for “berries new jersey” gets me lots of hits for blueberries (it’s our state fruit and a big industry here), “wild berries new jersey” gets me guides to edible berries (which I don’t think it is), and “weed berries new jersey” gets me discussions on marijuana. Weed photo galleries haven’t been any help either. What is it?

photos:
(the berries are shiny because I sprayed them with preservative; everthing else is the way I found them)

Can you post a photo of the whole plant? What kind of a stem does it have?

I don’t think this is a pokeberry, which was my first thought.

If the berry in question contains a single, half-moon shaped seed, but otherwise looks like a small Concord Grape, then you’ve found the Canada Moonseed. Be careful, this is a somewhat toxic plant to ingest.

I’m going to guess porcelain berries:

They are an invasive species, native to Asia if that’s what they are. That first link looks a lot like your plant to me.

Whatever they are, they are beautiful!

Crunch Berries?

Boo Berries?

Yes, that’s it. Thank you.
