Identify this PSA movie from the 70s

Can anyone identify or remember an old movie shown to 1st graders back in the 70s about using the phone. This was back when dialing “0” for emergencies was still taught and not the updated 9-1-1.
The part that is most vivid was a group of kids in a living room talking about the phone. It was a typical for it’s time desktop model with the rotary dial on it.
The phone then magically transforms into a jumbo room-sized phone and the rotary dial swings open like a bank vault door. It’s a entry into a tinfoil lined tunnel. The kids climb in and then fly through a psychedelic tunnel using f/x straight out of 2001.
That’s all I remember of it. Saw it probably in 77’.

Is THISthe one you’re looking for?

I LOVE AVgeeks.

Oh man. Beaten to it. I actually knew this one because I’ve seen this film in our film library where I work and have used the shot of the psychedelic tunnel several times for different research jobs. How’d you know it? Had you seen the film or somehow found it by searching online?

I follow the A/V Geeks blog/website. They feature different videos on the site each month and I remembered that one clearly from several months back - it’s hard to forget an educational film like that one! There was a book published about ‘Mental Hygeine’ classroom films a few years back, and that got me interested in that kind of thing. There are actually people with a serious interest in these old classroom films and preserving them - you can also check out The Prelinger Archives for more. It’s lots of fun and a great blast from the past.

Telezonia it is!
