Identity

I’m assuming the contestants sign off on a assumingly lengthy rules dissertation, but the mistaken identity loss at the end might be buried. Still, it would have been wise if the contestant(s) did what JohnGalt is suggesting. Perhaps they don’t mention the lost help for that very reason.

I thought pulling the mistaken ID at the end was bullshit. Basically, I thought when she got the alligator wrestler, she’d won the whole match. “Oh. She’s NOT the CSI Investigator? OK, I’m using my mistaken ID which I’ve saved up so I could get another guess at this critical point. I win, I win, I win.”

I hate to be a defender of this show, but the Mistaken Identity couldn’t be used logically at the end because it rewards a wrong guess with a right consequence. Earlier in the game, there is still the possibility of missing again. But leaving MI in all the way through the 500 thousand would mean you really only have to earn 250 to get 500.

IF you can do without up to that point, yes, I’d say that you’ve earned the 500 G. In other words if you an avoid using the MI until you’ve only got two choices left, then that IS the game. Whih is why you would try hard to avoid using it.

Poor game design, that leaves a player with a valuable commodity which turns out to be of zero value when she wants to use it.
