Ideology? I don't have the patience for an ideology!

It’s a bit like controlling dandelions in your lawn, I suppose. Easy enough to identify and dig up but they spring up all over again every year.

Anyway… I’m too apathetic to join a revolution. :stuck_out_tongue:

The only thing worse than the current crop of wingnuts and demagogues was the last crop or the next crop of them.

And the kids! These kids these days!

Why, that sounds like a good deal! I’ve always wanted a plain grey t-shirt.

This comes naturally to you, doesn’t it?!

Just as natural as molasses.

Far be it from me to be a patriotic flag-waver - however, about your cow-orker - it seems he has no compunction about staying in the USA and (I imagine) paying US taxes which feed the Military-Industrial Complex. Let him go live in Iran - the bastion of political freedom, where the job opportunities abound and he can live a happy, guilt-free existence.

Your post fits vocalizes my philosphy perfectly. I feel like I have it better than 99.9999% of all human beings that have ever lived. I don’t have to worry about where my next meal is coming from, being to hot or freezing to death, most diseases, or being eaten. I’ve never watched a wife die in childbirth, or see a child die. Statistically, I’ll probably live longer than any other man has ever lived. I probably have to work longer hours than generations before me, but other than that, in the larger context, I don’t really have damn thing to bitch about. Presidents, administrations, governments, and civilizations come and go; I’m content to spectate. I’ll just kick back and watch it on CNN or read about it here on the Dope.
