If Edwards drops out today in New Orleans: Who will he most likely endorse?

I don’t support a douchebag, I support Obama and hope to be able to vote for him in November. I like McCain but if it comes to it, I will vote for Hillary over McCain in hopes of moving the Supreme court back towards the left a bit.

Edwards talk after his withdrawals was all about him. I noticed Thompson and especially Rudy put their support to John McCain immediately.

Edwards was just a typical slimy self-important poser. The Romney of the Democrats, without the support.

Yes, back to speculating about if and if so who and when Edwards will endorse. I feel like its a Clue game.

I accuse Edwards to be endorsing Obama on Monday in California. His trial lawyer dramatic flair and all.

Then I’m sure non-douchebag Obama will surely fire the douchebag staffer who sent out this Harry and Louise, redux flyer in his name.

Edwards singlehandedly redefined what his rivals were willing to stand for this year, on health care, climate change, and a bunch of lesser issues. His campaign was about issues and ideas, and their effect on the American people, from beginning to end.

If that’s being a self-important poser, then let’s have more.

When Romney leaves the race, what effect will he have had on his party or the country?

Look, this is GD, not IMHO, not the Pit. If you’re going to call Edwards a “slimy self-important poser” and the like, it’s YHO, and that’s all it is, unless it’s an opinion you care to back up with specifics and get into a debate about it.

I’m game. Care to start?

Whaddaya mean “absentee”? Senators are supposed to spend their time in Washington, not at home. Was Edwards disappointing in that regard?

Did anyone catch A Daily Show the other night with guest Peggy Noonan? She was very biased towards Hillary and very condescending towards Obama, Edwards, and their message of populism. I’m sure it was more to bring her down a notch, but Jon basically went ahead and endorsed Edwards’ endorsement of Obama. Obviously it’s just a talk show host opinion, and not Edwards’ official endorsement, but for those many who’s only source of news is ADS/TCR, I think it will go a long way in Obama’s favor.

It was a great interview by the way. The ending really almost walked right up to that ‘Crossfire/Tucker Carlson’ line.

No thank you, maybe on Monday. I will back up the jerk part, but my response was simply an escalation of your assuming any candidate I backed was a douche bag.

The jerk part was specifically for not endorsing one of the 2 remaining candidates and the self-promotion he did in his exit speech.

Jim

Seemed to be an appropriate response to your calling Edwards all sorts of things for no apparent reason.

On endorsement: is there some law says he has to?

Guess Al Gore must be a first-class fuckhead: he doesn’t plan to endorse anyone soon, say his people.

As for the exit speech: I listened to the whole thing, and I don’t remember its being particularly self-promotional. I remember his talking about homeless people living under a bridge, and rebuilding New Orleans, and getting Hillary and Obama to pledge to make ending poverty an issue in their campaigns and, if elected, their Administrations. Maybe you can be specific?
