If God is real, why did it take so long to realize Him?

I don’t think that’s a valid analogy. Man had to ‘learn’ physics for himself. Man was ‘told’ of God, by God Himself. According to the Bible, God spoke face to face with the very first man, and the very first woman. Yet, other false religions were later formed despite of this.
And why, if God spoke to the first humans, did no one record this or write about it until he spoke to them again, hundreds and hundreds of years later. Why wait until Moses to lay down the ten commandments??? Wouldn’t that be something you’d want to give man in the very begining??

Whoever said we’ve figured them out yet?

How does man suppose to understand god in all of its forms and purposes?

Frankly, you’re either faithful, or you aren’t, and trying to prove one way or the other will just give you a headache and make god roll its collective eyes. Man, if I were god, I would be sitting around with a bowl of popcorn reading SDMB just for discussions like this. God is like the ultimate troll.
